tfw news outlets and media are way more outraged by a celebrity in a cecil the lion costume than they ever were/will be about racist halloween costumes fetishizing and sexualizing people of color and their cultures. so many celebrities have done blackface for halloween and news outlets weren’t /this/ upset. i hate everything
Literally its a fucking lion. People have hunted elephants, tigers and many other endangered animals yet this one gets all the light? How about we start focusing on the racist costumes people feel the need to wear year after year. Maybe when they start dressing up as the children of Sandy Hook or Trayvon Martin will the media care. But then again its paid not to.
